Yes, a single school can submit an application. A school can also submit an application as part of a consortium.
A school may submit an application on behalf of a consortium. Consortium arrangements could include:
- a cluster of secondary schools seeking to establish a Trade Training Centre as a shared facility; or
- a single secondary school, or cluster of secondary schools, working in partnership with Registered Training Organisations (RTO), Group Training Organisations (GTO) employers and/or other bodies to establish a Trade Training Centre as a shared facility.
No. A lead school must be identified by the consortium/cluster members. The lead school will then be the only school that completes and submits an application for funding through the Trade Training Centres in Schools Program on behalf of the consortium.
It is a requirement that each consortium member (school or not) provide written support that must then be attached to the application form as part of the application process. Please note schools that have selected they are participating in a consortia arrangement but who do not attach supporting evidence, will not be able to submit their application.
Schools that are a member of a consortium but who also wish to apply for additional funding for a separate project will be required to complete a 'separate' application form for that ’separate’ project.
Yes, if the change in lead school occurs prior to the application period for Phase 2 closing, the lead school can change between the EOI and the final application.
If the change occurred after the application period closes, the application would be made non-assessable or the cluster could choose to withdraw. The cluster, or schools within the cluster, could submit the same, a similar or a different application in a subsequent round.
Where an EOI has been lodged by a cluster for a particular project and the cluster decides not to proceed as a cluster, the now disbanded cluster can come to an agreement that one school that was part of the original cluster can proceed with an application for the project that was identified in the EOI.
